Strategic planning 2012-2016
Our strategic planning has four goals:
- Optimize the development of the economic vision of Québec that reflects the members and positions FCCQ as a key player
- Strengthen the reputation and visibility of the FCCQ among its members as well as the Québec government and other political and economic bodies
- Maximize FCCQ’s capacity to act by mobilizing the network to better advocate on behalf of businesses
- Ensure that the FCCQ has the necessary financial and organizational means to achieve our goals

Which lead to the following actions:
Participation in the federal and provincial pre-budgetary consultations and parliamentary committees
FCCQ attends all parliamentary committee meetings and governmental consultations in which it is important to advocate on behalf of our members.
Committees
As the provincial chamber of commerce, the FCCQ regroups more than 1 100 Large Businesses and SMEs. Its network of chambers of commerce represents more than 60 000 businesses across Quebec !
More than 380 corporate members from 22 industry sectors serve on the FCCQ’s committees.

Chamber Accreditation
A true commitment by the chambers toward their members and partners, accreditation is a means of ensuring that accredited chambers play their role with credibility, according to well-defined rules, and act in accordance with a certain number of requirements.
In 2015 there were 16 accredited chambers.
Meetings with politicians
These meetings allow all party leaders to present their vision of the Québec and Canadian economy and share their views with our members. These discussions are open, straightforward, and constructive. Each year, ten or so meetings are organized.
Trade Corridors
The FCCQ is working to develop sustainable business relations with Canada and the United States. We believe that joint nitiatives involving business communities and governments are among the solutions to the many challenges resulting from market
globalization and border security.
Symposiums, Conferences, and Seminars
Throughout the year, many training and discussion opportunities are offered to our members, including forums of influence. They
are meant to be special occasions to discuss your concerns with decision makers.
Mercuriades Competition
The Mercuriades Competition was launched thirty years ago in an effort to encourage and promote the influence of Québec businesses, both here and abroad. Today, it is the most prestigious competition celebrating the success of Québec entrepreneurship.
Québec en avant
The FCCQ has set up the Québec en avant Web site to track the progress of projects in each region, investments and major economic issues in Québec.
Annual General Meeting
Each year, the FCCQ reviews priority issues with its members during the Annual General Meeting. The conference allows participants to discuss various topics that are important to the Québec business community, namely innovation, competitiveness, and human capital.
